SUNNYSIDE - Sunnyside police are investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred about 6 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Victory Way.

An unnamed 25-year-old Grandview man was walking to his vehicle when he reportedly was shot by someone in a passing car.

Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening.

No information was available Thursday night about the car used in the shooting.

A 19-year-old man was critically wounded Sunday night in a drive-by shooting in a Lakewood parking lot, police said Monday.

The teen was shot in the back and treated at Madigan Army Medical Center, Lt. Heidi Hoffman said. His condition wasn't known Monday.

He was shot about 9 p.m. while standing with a group of people in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 12000 block of Lincoln Boulevard, Hoffman said.

A 25-year-old man was seriously injured early Monday when someone drove up to his girlfriend's car along South 38th Street and started shooting, Tacoma police reported.

A little while earlier, just before 2 a.m., police suspect the same gunman fired at another car while both were stopped at a light on the Interstate 5 overpass at South 38th. No one was injured in that shooting.

Moses Lake police are investigating a drive-by shooting late Sunday that left three men injured from shotgun blasts.

One man, 35-year-old Juaquin Labato-Sanchez, was critically injured after being shot in the head, police said. He was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, where he remained in critical condition Monday.

The Grandview SWAT team searched a home looking for a 20-year-old man suspected of being involved in a gang-related drive-by shooting last week.

SWAT team members, assisted by the Sunnyside SWAT team, searched the home in the 1200 block of Rainier Street just after 9 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

The Washington State Patrol and Prosser police also helped.

Tacoma police were searching Monday for the gunman who shot two young men late Saturday, critically wounding one.

The victims and two others were hanging out at East 56th Street and Portland Avenue about 10:30 p.m. when a small, dark sedan drove slowly by. The gunman leaned out the passenger side window and fired several rounds, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said Monday.

EVERETT -- A Monroe man was arrested Saturday after he opened fire with a handgun from a moving car in a south Everett neighborhood.

No one was hurt.

Police were called about 7 a.m. when someone saw the man shoot several rounds at homes in the 2900 block of 116th Street SE, according to court documents.

The witness gave police a description of the car and police found it at a gas station at the corner of 19th Avenue SE and 110th Street SE.

SUNNYSIDE - One of the men accused of being involved in a fatal shooting last week in Sunnyside is also suspected of stealing a police-issued pistol possibly used in the deadly gunfire exchange, police said Thursday.

Juan Ramos, 16, of Sunnyside, died after being shot just before 7 p.m. Sept. 5 during a barrage of gunfire between apparent gang rivals in the 900 block of South 15th Street.

Two people were injured Wednesday evening in a drive-by shooting in the 4200 block of South Mead Street near Rainier Avenue South in Seattle.

Police were searching for an unknown number of suspects who fired several shots from a westbound older, white car, around 7:30 p.m., said Seattle police spokesman Mark Jamieson.

A 15- or 16-year-old girl who happened to be standing on the corner was shot in the knee, Jamieson said.

Yakima police have opened a homicide investigation after a 31-year-old Yakima man wounded in a drive-by shooting last month died from complications of his injuries.

Juan "JJ" Nnez was with an 18-year-old neighbor in the 400 block of East Beech Street late the evening of April 5 when occupants of a passing van yelled obscenities at them, according to the neighbor.
