SUNNYSIDE - Two Sunnyside teens were hospitalized Monday with multiple gunshot wounds they received apparently in retaliation for throwing rocks and bricks at another car.
An 18-year-old boy was in serious condition at a local hospital, said Sunnyside police spokeswoman Charlotte Hinderlider.
A 17-year-old boy also was hospitalized but reportedly was doing better than the older teen, she said.

EVERETT -- An Everett man fatally shot by police early Saturday greeted officers at his front door and "leveled" a shotgun in their direction, investigators said Monday.
They also made public a search warrant that contains witness statements surrounding the death of Dustin Willard, 31.

A Fort Lewis soldier was arrested Monday on suspicion of fatally shooting a buddy after a long day of drinking, Pierce County sheriff's officials said.
The soldier, 23, was booked into jail just after 3 p.m. on one count of first-degree manslaughter.

Skamania County Undersheriff Dave Cox released new details Wednesday about a Tacoma man whose body was found Nov. 1 in the Skookum Meadows area [nearest town is Cougar] of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
Homicide victim Juan Rojas Cortez, 30, had been working picking bear grass. When he failed to show up at quitting time, two co-workers started looking for him and found his body. He'd been shot in the torso. Suicide has been ruled out, and detectives are trying to determine whether his death was accidental or intentional.

Seattle police are still searching for a gunman who shot a man and a woman during an argument in Belltown Friday night.
The shooting happened near First Avenue and Bell Street just past 11:30 p.m., Seattle police reported.

Seattle police continue to investigate a deadly Halloween night shooting outside Garfield High School, but have made no arrests.
The shooting left a 16-year-old teenage boy dead and a 15-year-old boy injured. Just days earlier, gunfire erupted only blocks away, leaving one person hurt.
Seattle police spokeswoman Renee Witt said it was too soon to say whether the two shootings were connected.

SILVANA -- A man was arrested Wednesday morning after shooting at his neighbor's house. Nobody was hurt.
Deputies arrived at the man's home around 11 a.m., Snohomish County Sheriff's Lt. Rodney Rochon said.
The man apparently was upset with the neighbor, Rochon said. It's unclear why he became angry, Rochon said.
The man was booked into the county jail for investigation of first-degree assault with a weapon.

A young man shot several times early Saturday showed up at Harborview Medical Center with what police described as life-threatening injuries.
Seattle police were dispatched to the 500 block of Maynard Avenue South about 1:50 a.m. after callers reported hearing multiple gunshots in an International District parking lot.
Officers arrived and learned that the victim and the gunman had left.

An 18-year-old woman was found shot to death Wednesday afternoon at her apartment in the 400 block of North Eighth Street in Yakima, police said.
Relatives reported the discovery of Yesenia Haro's body after they went to check on her after 4 p.m., Lt. Mike Merryman said at the scene.
The family became concerned because they had not heard from her all day, Capt. Greg Copeland said in a news release issued Wednesday night.
