Washington CeaseFire hosts several events annually including a Spring luncheon, a themed fund-raising auction in the Fall, and a Day of Remembrance, also in the Fall and usually at GreenLake, in honor of the innocent victims of gun violence.
In 2012 we were honored to present Seattle City Attorney Pete Holmes with the Ancil Payne Civic Leader of the Year Award for his unflinching work on behalf of Firearms Sanity. We were further honored to present citizen activist Megan McQueen with the Delores Jones Person of the Year Award for her tireless work to help educate the public on the risks of firearms.
ave the date! The 2012 Fall Auction is tentatively themed "South of the Border, Down Mexico Way" and is set for Saturday, October 20th at the Women's University Club in Seattle.

At the 2014 Spring Luncheon we honored Seattle City Councilmember Tim Burgess with the Ancil Payne Civic Leader of the Year Award for his constant support of reducing gun violence and ASK. We also honored citizen activist Pamela Van Swearingen with the Delores Jones Person of the Year Award for the tireless work with the ASK campaign and helping to draft Initiative 594.
