CeaseFire hosts several events annually, including a May luncheon at the Washington Athletic Club in Seattle at which we honor both a civic leader a private citizen for their work in reducing gun violence in Washington state. The 2011 honorees were: New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, for his efforts in launching Mayors Against Illegal Guns, a organization that includes 19 Washington state mayors; and longtime CeaseFire supporter Marlis DeJongh. |
